A Davenport man who allegedly robbed two stores has been arrested, authorities said.

Jeffrey Talbot, 31, is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery for incidents at Blockbuster, 2930 W. Locust St., and Walgreens, 1660 W. Locust St.

According to the reports:

Talbot entered the Walgreens at 1:15 a.m. Nov. 4, went to the pharmacy counter, showed a knife and demanded cash. He threatened to jump over the counter when the pharmacist was unable to get the cash register open. Ultimately, the register opened, and the suspect escaped with cash. The entire incident was caught on video, and he also was identified in a photo lineup.

Then, on Monday shortly before 10 p.m., Talbot entered the Blockbuster, told the clerk he had a knife and demanded money. He escaped first by vehicle, then on foot. He was apprehended by police a short distance away.
