Christian Care recently received a $5,000 grant from the Doris and Victor Day Foundation.
The local nonprofit agency has begun a campaign to raise funds for the improvement of two Rock Island facilities, the Rescue Mission for homeless men and the Domestic Violence Shelter for women and children.
