Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Davenport in which one man was injured early Friday.

Travis S. Rush, 17, of Davenport is charged with willful injury with serious injury, a Class C felony under Iowa law that carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years.

According to police affidavits, at 1:34 a.m. at 328 E. 14th St., Rush was armed with a handgun and fired two times at his victim, striking the victim once in the leg. The victim was taken to Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police found the weapon.

Kelsey L. Reitz, 19, of Davenport is charged with felony eluding as she allegedly was driving the car in which Rush was fleeing. Police were able to stop the car in the 1200 block of Oneida Avenue.

Felony eluding is a Class D felony under Iowa law that carries a prison sentence of up to five years.

Phillip Bogan, 19, is charged with interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor under Iowa law that carries a jail sentence of up to 30 days.

About three hours before the Davenport shooting, a man at a Rock Island bar was wounded by gunfire.

That incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Thursday at Buck’s Tavern, 725 12th St., police said. The victim, who was shot in the stomach, was taken to Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island.

Rock Island police continued to investigate that shooting Friday night.
