The Scott County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting an emergency response exercise at Scott Community College’s main campus Sunday. The college is assisting with the department in allowing the use of its facilities for the exercise.
A mobile command center will be stationed near the college. Volunteers will be acting in roles as students, faculty members and other college staff members. The exercise will use many of the college’s classrooms and facilities.
The exercise is not open to the public. The sheriff’s department and college, however, do wish to let the public know of the drill so that anyone noticing law enforcement vehicles on the campus on Sunday is not alarmed.
