McCain doesn't understand Medicare

In the April 20 Quad-City Times, I read about McCain’s health-care policies.

The rich aren’t getting hurt by all these little tricks. How they handle money, who get lots and lots of it, others don’t count.

I disagree with him on the Medicare drug benefit. I am 94 years old and I have Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Iowa, Medicare B and Medicare D. I pay for my eye drops, two kinds. Also hydrocodone and pantopraz. Plus, I pay $27.50 every month. What does McCain say about that? I know of other ladies that have to, also. My son-in-law’s monthly payment went up. He’s 72.

Somewhere in between the lines the whole truth isn’t being told right. Only the rich get the breaks.
