The war has the U.S. citizens in a total predicament. The war has raised the costs for a typical American households by $400 a month, and it also contributed to higher oil prices which are factors giving raise to the high cost of living in the United States.
We are actually paying for the war in Iraq indirectly, when we are spending over $60 to fill up our cars because the price of oil is three times higher than what it was before the war in Iraq.
The government should consider the new generation of safer nuclear-power technology that could replace oil and coal-fueled electric power plants. Though it’s going to cost some money, it’s going save money and will not be as costly as the price of oil.
