AG Bradford of Davenport North picked up her fourth gold medal of the Iowa Class 4A girls track and field state meet when she won the 100-meter hurdles in 14.12 seconds early Saturday afternoon at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.

“Having three golds makes me go for one more,” she said.

But it also added pressure.

“You get way nervous knowing you won Drake and have been the best all year,” Bradford said. “It was hard to sleep knowing girls are gunning for you.”

Waukee’s Artianna Black-Scott finished second in 14.51 with a late charge past Kyla Sandon of Urbandale (14.73). Pleasant Valley’s Susan Rodriguez was seventh in 15.22.

“The girls stayed up there with me and pushed me toward the end,” Bradford said.
