Information about Camp Genesis, a weeklong, all-expenses-paid camp for children 8-14 years old who are affected by cancer in their immediate households, will be provided at an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln, Buffalo, Iowa.

The open house is a chance for participants and families considering participation to learn more, meet the staff and see the facilities.

The camp, which runs from July 27 to Aug. 2, is designed for children who are experiencing cancer in their homes, including recent diagnosis, current treatments or one-year post-treatments. The program is a partnership between the Genesis Cancer Care Institute, Gilda’s Club of the Quad-Cities and the Scott County Family Y.

For more information, contact Gilda’s Club at (563) 326-7504.
