A mini-clinic held May 24 helped members of the Kaaba Shrine, Davenport, identify five more children in need of medical help that may be provided through one of the 22 hospitals within the Shrine network.

The Shriners help identify and manage the cases of more than 300 youths in the Quad-City region. For example, the organization runs a volunteer-based transportation service, mainly traveling to the Shriners Hospital in downtown Chicago.

Dr. Richard Kreiter was the examining physician May 24, assisted by nurses Sheri Morgan, Nyla Newmann and Lisa Fox.

All Shrine services are free of charge with no income guidelines. For more information about the Shrine hospital network, contact Carl Van Keuren of Bettendorf at (563) 355-2902 or carlvankeuren@aol.com.

The next mini-clinic is set for Oct. 4 at the Moline Scottish Rite facility, just off the 7th Street exit of Interstate 74 in downtown Moline.

If you have or know of a child who you think may qualify for Shrine services, call the Kaaba Shrine at (563) 386-2526 or toll-free (800) 670-5222.
