America’s Incredible Pizza, the 1950s-themed, pizza and family entertainment center that opened in March 2010 in the former Eagle Country Market at Spring Valley Shopping Center, Davenport, has closed.
The decision to close the Davenport location was the result of “a business dispute between external forces,” company founder and chief executive officer Rick Barsness said in a news release on its website.
“We love Davenport,” he said. “We are grateful for the support of our customers here and have always been proud to serve them. It was not our decision to close. Unfortunately, our hands were tied.”
Suzan French, a spokeswoman for the pizza company, said the closing came after a dispute with the property owner could not be resolved.
“There were some business decisions,” she said. “There was a dispute with the landlord on a number of issues that could not be settled amicably.”
The property is owned by Gateway Highland/Emmes Real Estate of New York City, which could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Barsness said refunds will be given for deposits made for group events and birthday parties. Game cards will be honored at Incredible Pizza’s nine other locations, the closest being Urbandale, Iowa.
No cash refunds will be given for game cards, the company said.
Employees affected by the closing are being offered jobs at other locations, the news release said.
