Quad-City civil engineering firms Missman Inc. and McClure Engineering Associates now are doing business as IMEG.
The name changes, effective Thursday, are the result of the firms' mergers last summer with IMEG Corp., based in Rock Island. The mergers expanded IMEG’s Central U.S. team and service offerings to include civil engineering and related services.
"Having Missman and McClure adopt the IMEG name is the final step in our integration with these outstanding companies," IMEG CEO and President Paul VanDuyne said. "We are excited about their contributions to our clients and firm, and I’m pleased to have them do business under the IMEG brand."
Missman, Inc. was founded in 1946 as C.E. Missman & Associates by Cliff Missman. It has offices in the Quad-Cities and Rockford. McClure Engineering Associates, Inc. was founded in 1969 in East Moline by William McClure and Jerold Leckman. Its offices are in the Quad-Cities, Rockford, Gurnee, Macomb, and Ottawa, Illinois.
IMEG, which traces its roots to 1955, is one of the largest engineering consulting firms in the U.S. specializing in high performing building systems, infrastructure, and construction-related services. The firm employs 1,200 personnel at more than 30 locations, including the Quad-Cities corporate office – the founding site of the former KJWW Engineering Consultants.
