Some Quad-City area students are getting a look and feel at what it takes to have a career in construction. That career look is coming through the fifth annual Construction Career Expo at Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 25 in Rock Island. The introduction to the building trades involves 1,200 eighth-grade students from Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties and is sponsored by the Quad-City Career and Technical Education Consortium and Tri-City Building Trades Council.
