Junior League of the Quad-Cities made a $10,000 donation to Braking Traffik, an organization that campaigns against human traffiking in the Quad-City area. The money was raised through the organization's I AM Strong 5K Mudventure, held in August in Long Grove. The Mudventure was created as part of Junior League's I AM intiative, which was created to help improve the self-image and perception of women and girls. Among those involved in the presentation were, from left, Erin Leifker, Junior League president; Adriane Witthuhn, president-elect and former I AM Strong race co-chair; Nina Lahasky, I AM Strong race co-chair; Cathy O'Keeffe, Braking Traffik executive director, and Maggie Tinsman, Braking Traffik board chair.
