Rozz-Tox will host a Christmas-themed double feature movie night on Saturday.

1. Christmas movie night

Looking to get into the holiday spirit on Christmas Eve Eve (you know, Friday)? Rozz-Tox is hosting a movie night screening two Christmas classics, including the 1940 film "Remember the Night," which starts at 7 p.m., and the 1947 film "It's a Wonderful Life," which starts at 8:45 p.m. The free movie-watching party starts at 7 p.m. Thursday at Rozz-Tox, 2108 3rd Ave., Rock Island. 

2. Kid-friendly musical

You have two more chances to see "Jingle ARRGH the Way: A How I Became a Pirate Christmas Adventure," at Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse, 1828 3rd Ave., Rock Island. The holiday musical, fit for the whole family, is slated for 10 a.m. Friday and Monday at Circa '21. Tickets, $10.50, are available at circa21.com.

3. Artsy winter village

Ready to step into a winter wonderland? Stop by the Bucktown Center for the Arts this weekend to see a variety of work from Quad-City artists as well as a new Winter Wonderland Train display complete with a winter village. The center, 225 E. 2nd St., Davenport, is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is free.

4. CaRICKatures Christmas

Consider this a special kind of Christmas story — complete with plenty of laughs. An improv comedy show, featuring Quad-City based performer Rick Davis taking on a slew of celebrities and characters and Christmas-themed jokes, is slated for 9:30 p.m. Friday at The Establishment, 220 19th St., Rock Island. 

5. Nu Gruv Society Showcase and Jam

The Nu Gruv Society, a group of Quad-City musicians, writers, poets, rap artists, producers and community organizers with the mission of promoting modern urban music, started up this year. The society is hosting its final (and free) jam of the year at 8 p.m. Thursday at Rozz-Tox, 2108 3rd Ave., Rock Island. 

6. Hip hop show 

Warm up this weekend with "Heat in Decemburr," a hip hop show, featuring performances from Quad-City and regional rappers including Poodie Ville, Torrian Ball, TAJ, Amazin' and Blazo. Music is slated to start at 9 p.m. Friday at Shenanigan's Irish Pub, 303 W 3rd St., Davenport. Tickets, $10.
