The St. Patrick's Day Grand Parade is set to start at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. 

1. Parade for St. Patrick's Day

The St. Patrick Society Grand Parade, back for its 32nd year, is set to step off at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The 2-mile parade route starts at the corner of 4th Avenue and 23rd Street in Rock Island and crosses the Centennial Bridge to downtown Davenport with an after-party planned at the RiverCenter, 136 E. 3rd St., Davenport. Don't forget to wear your green. 

2. Codfish Hollow Basementstormer

 It's not quite warm enough for an outdoor show at Codfish Hollow Barn, so organizers are throwing a concert in the basement of their house, also known as a "Basementstormer." Hear music from Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Hearts with Ryan M. Stier at 8 p.m. Saturday at 3437 288th Ave., Maquoketa, Iowa. Tickets, $20, are available at 
3. A country St. Paddy's party
Rock Island's country-themed bar, RIDRS, is hosting its own set of St. Patrick's Day festivities. The party starts at noon Friday and continues with music from Tyler Hammond slated for 9 p.m. Saturday at RIDRS, 1722 2nd Ave., Rock Island. Cover is $5. 
4. Celtic songs 
Get in the traditional Celtic mood this St. Patrick's Day. A fundraising concert, presented by the Celtic Cultures Alliance, is planned to help raise money for the 2017 Celtic Festival and Highland Games of the Quad-Cities, which is set for mid-September. Music from Four Shillings Short and Laural Almquist, plus a raffle of gift certificates, gift baskets and prizes, kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday at the Redstone Room, 129 N. Main St., Davenport. 5. Tribute to The Beatles
It's been 50 years since The Beatles released "The Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band" album with songs such as "With A Little Help From My Friends." RAIN, a tribute band covering The Beatles, promises to play the album in its entirety as well as other classics. The show is set for 8 p.m. Friday at the Adler Theatre, 136 E. 3rd St., Davenport. 6. Two days of tunes
Six Quad-City based musical acts are on the lineup for a free event billed as the "Shamrockin' Paddy O'Pardy" at Kavanaugh's Hilltop, 1228 30th St., Rock Island. Hear Chuck Murphy, Party To Go with RedHot Brian Scott, Funktastic 5, Greg and Rich, the Barley House Band, Mayer School Of Irish Dancing and the Dirt Road Rockers.
