1. Pop-A-Shot tournament 

Looking to show off your basketball game? Analog Arcade Bar, 302 Brady St., Davenport, is hosting a Pop-A-Shot tournament starting at 7 p.m. Thursday. A crew of 32 people will play the classic hoops arcade game and battle for the win. Sign up in person Thursday or head to Analog for drink specials and to cheer on your favorite gamers. 

2. One Voice

You have two chances to see One Voice Cross Culture, a Christmas show organized by the Quad-Cities Prayer Center and involving about 60 area churches, this weekend. Organizers say the holiday event's purpose is "to unify the local church by sharing the Gospel to the community." Shows are slated for 7 a.m. Friday and Saturday at the iWireless Center, 1200 River Drive, Moline. Tickets, $22-25, are available at 

3. Proving Grounds

A monthly rap contest is back for its second run. The beats-infused battle, presented by Moline's Graveyard Studios, has been dubbed "Proving Grounds" and gives 10 area artists an opportunity to rap in front of an audience and, yes, "prove" themselves. The contest is slated for 9 p.m. Saturday at McManus Pub, 1401 7th Ave., Moline.

4. Holiday Grande 

Hear the sounds of the season at the “Holiday Grande 2016,” a concert featuring International Steinway Artist Jim McDonough, a 14-piece professional orchestra along with singers and dancers performing the classic tunes of Christmas. Proceeds benefit Camp Courageous of Iowa, a year-round recreational and respite care facility for individuals with disabilities. The show is slated for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Adler Theatre, 136 E. 3rd St., Davenport. Tickets, $37 and $45, are available at, the Adler Theatre Box Office or by phone at 800-745-3000. 

5. Last chance for Saturday morning Cartoons

An old-school tradition is coming to an end at Rozz-Tox. The Rock Island cafe will hold its final "Saturday Morning Cartoons" event this weekend. Head to Rozz-Tox to sample some cereal and watch a set of Christmas-themed cartoons from your childhood from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Rozz-Tox, 2108 3rd Ave., Rock Island. Pajamas welcome. 

6. Comedy show 

It's Third Thursday in downtown Davenport and along with food and drink specials around town, you can check out this free monthly comedy show at 6 p.m. Thursday at Daytrotter, 324 Brady St., Davenport. Called "The After Hour," this event modeled after late-night talk show is hosted by Quad-City comedian Andrew King and features comedy, live music and special guests.
