Quad-City Music Guild opened it latest show, "West Side Story," last weekend, and our photographer Andy Abeyta got a behind-the-scenes look of the production.

He captured some of the musical's big moments as well as quiet rituals, such as when actors practice lines or take a break (and a breath) between scenes.

Quad-City Music Guild is a non-profit organization that formed in 1949, making this its 69th season. Other upcoming shows include "Sunset Boulevard" on Aug. 4-6 and Aug. 10-13 and "Annie" on Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 1-3.

You can see "West Side Story" this weekend as well. It runs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday Prospect Park Auditorium, 1584 34th Ave., Moline.

Tickets cost $16 for adults and $11 for kids and students. To purchase tickets, visit qcmusicguild.com or call 309-762-6610.
