1. Janet Jackson

The iconic pop star Janet Jackson is — finally — coming to the Quad-Cities. Jackson, who is on her "State of the World Tour," will perform Wednesday at the TaxSlayer Center, formerly called the iWireless Center, 1201 River Drive. The postponed concert date at the Moline arena was previously scheduled for June 2. This will mark the "Rhythm Nation" singer's fourth appearance there. 2. 'World of Dance Live!'

"World of Dance," NBC's dance competition show with judges such as Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo, wrapped up its first season in August. This week, you can see the show's winning teams, such as Eva Igo, Supercr3w, Elektro Botz and Diana Pombo, live at the Adler Theatre, 136 E. 3rd St., Davenport. 3. Big Daddy Weave

Head back to the Adler Theatre in downtown Davenport on Thursday to see Big Daddy Weave, a Christian music group currently on its "Set Free" tour, along with openers We Are Messengers and Micah Tyler. 4. ‘Dirty Dancing’ live

The classic tale of “Dirty Dancing” is hitting the Adler Theatre stage, 136 E. 3rd St., Davenport, this week. You have two chances on Saturday to see the show and hear tunes such as “Hungry Eyes” “Do You Love Me?” as well as “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life." 5. Halloween parades

Looking to get in the Halloween spirit? The Q-C offers two parades on Saturday: a daytime march in downtown Davenport and a nighttime parade in Bettendorf. Davenport's parade starts at 2 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 3rd and Brady streets. In Bettendorf, the Halloween parade will step off at 7 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Middle Road and 23rd Street.

6. Witches Walk

LeClaire has a Halloween parade of its own on tap. The Witches’ Walk and Costume Parade is set for Saturday in LeClaire. By the way, the costume contest is open to humans and dogs. Festivities kick off at 11:30 a.m. and the parade starts at 1 p.m. near the Levee, 117 South Front St., LeClaire, Iowa.

7. Figge Underground

The Figge Art Museum, 225 W. 2nd St., Davenport, is hosting a Halloween-themed party in its parking garage this weekend. It's the latest installment of the museum's series, called Figge Underground. Festivities include music from area deejays, a costume contest, craft food and beer. All proceeds from the evening go toward the Figge’s youth education and outreach programs. 8. Deer Tick at Codfish Hollow

9. Super Doppler at the Raccoon Motel

There are five shows -- including a night of comedy -- scheduled this week at the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel, 304 E. 3rd St., Davenport. Here's one to check out: Super Doppler, a rock 'n' roll band from Virginia, will be performing, with opener Courtney Marie Andrews, Wednesday at the Raccoon Motel.
