I headed down to The District on Friday night for the Joe Pug show and was very surprised to find ample parking available at 10:30 p.m.

I know it's been cold and wet recently, and I made no attempt to dress up because of the weather. But seriously, people, we're Midwesterners, We can handle it.

I would totally understand if The District were dead on a Friday night in January after 5 inches of snow had fallen. But October has just begun, so we all should just put the sleeveless party shirts in hibernation, add an extra layer and continue to support area establishments and entertainment, at least until the temperatures reach single digits.
