Frosting and decorating cupcakes is on the curriculum of a new — and yummy— offering from Davenport Public Library's Eastern Avenue branch.

Grade-school kids, and their parents, are invited to attend Cupcake School, which held its first class on Sept. 7.

Quad-City Times photographer Jeff Cook sat in on Cupcake School last week, when kids decorated Halloween-themed treats, and has shared his favorite photos here.

You still have two chances to enroll in Cupcake School: at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 and Sept. 28 at the library, 6000 Eastern Ave., Davenport.

Admission is free. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required, so sign up by visiting davenportlibrary.com or call the library at 563-326-7832.
