Is making a gingerbread house still on your holiday bucket list?

The Hy-Vee store at 2200 West Kimberly Road, Davenport is hosting a gingerbread house making party at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Children ages 5-11 are invited to join the store's dietitian in the Market Grille for the event, which also features festive music, drinks and snacks. Crafts will also be available if time permits.

The Hy-Vee on West Locust Street in Davenport held a gingerbread house decorating party Saturday. Kids constructed their homes with candy, cereal and icing.

The gingerbread house making party is part of the monthly Kids in the Kitchen series hosted by several area Hy-Vee stores.
