When Iowa City-based “Food Guru” Peter Harman reopened Moline seafood stalwart The Captain’s Table in July, he and his staff knew that business would be good in the summertime.
But what about the winter months, when business took a traditional decline?
“We added a brunch because Sunday was one of the days where they had problems in the past, because there was no customer base,” said William Black, the riverfront restaurant’s general manager.
Now that the warmer months are here, The Captain’s Table is showing off its new patio, one of many overall changes made to the restaurant, including entirely new staff and a building remodeling.
“The only thing we kept was the name because it had good name recognition in the Quad-City area,” Black said.
