Burger boat down
MiMi’s Burger Boat, a popular restaurant near Clinton that serves customers there on weekends, met its demise late Sunday when it struck a wing dam in pool 13 of the Mississippi River. Sonya Carey-Otte, co-owner of the business, said they were traveling about 5 mph when they collided with the underwater barrier, ripping a “huge hole” into the front of their ship.
Crime Stoppers of the Quad-Cities is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the death of a dog last month. Police discovered the partially burned body, appearing to be a Rottweiler, on July 19th.
