The first weekend of December marks the beginning of Christmas walks with activities taking place in two Quad-City area communities.

Village of East Davenport

The 37th annual Village of East Davenport Christmas Walk will be 6-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Visitors are invited to wander from store to store throughout the Village for holiday cheer and treats. They can listen to live Christmas music, ride on the Village Trolley, check out the new Nativity scene with live animals and heckle Scrooge as he tries to ruin the Christmas spirit.

In the Village Theatre, activities will include Awkward Family Christmas Photos (complete with bad Christmas sweaters), children’s craft activities and musical entertainment.

In the historic fire station, Santa will be seeing the kids for photo opportunities and Christmas requests. At 9 p.m. Saturday, a fireworks display will cap off the Christmas Walk.
