Remember when no one thought about making Halloween plans until about Oct. 28?

Now the entire month has become the domain of haunted houses, hayrack rides, corn mazes and all sorts of spooky stuff.

Here's a guide to where you can find plenty of tricks and treats in and around the Quad-Cities:

 

Asylum of Mad Dreams

Q-C Haunted Forest

Details: Through Oct. 29. Adventure Quest, 3501 207th St. N., Port Byron, Ill. A hayrack ride will take participants into the forest to return on foot through the darkness. There also will be indoor activities, including interactive inflatable games, group photos, snacks, hot and cold beverages and more. $16 VIP, $12.

Highschool Massacre

This Haunted Hayrack ride and Haunted Tour through the woods will be held all Friday and Saturday evenings. There will be food specials to try for $5 or a new unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots. Haunted Forest Event

Oct. 8 and 15, 7-11 p.m.

Details: Through Oct. 29. Behind Poppy's Pub and Grub, south of Savanna (Ill.) on Illinois 84. A group of 25 passengers will be loaded onto wagons and driven into the darkened forest every 20 minutes. There are several foreboding Halloween-themed performances along the more-than-half-mile trail to entertain the passengers. Throughout the passage, visitors encounter strange and fascinating characters in a variety of scenes befitting the Halloween season. New scenes are added every year for the benefit of returning visitors. $10 for adults, $5 for children younger than 12 years with an adult.

Goodwill Haunting

Oct. 13, 6-7 p.m.

Details: Goodwill, 5360 Villa Drive, Davenport. This Halloween fashion show will feature an impressive array of costumes donated throughout the year. More than 20 models of all ages will showcase Halloween outfits ranging from the bizarre to the fantastic. The program will be emceed by Mix 96 morning show personality Ron Evans and feature refreshments and prizes. Free.

 

Haunted Hay Rack

13th annual Noogiefest

Oct. 15, 5-9 p.m.

Details: Gilda's Club, 1234 E. River Drive, Davenport. This Halloween party for children and families features a spooktacular good time as children move through different themed rooms with crafts, games, activities and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Costumes encouraged. After Noogiefest, families are encouraged to stay for an outdoor movie night (weather permitting) on the lawn. Movie participants should bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free.
