Works by a Knoxville, Ill., oil painter and a Clinton pastel/acrylic artist will go on display beginning tonight at the Quad-City Arts Gallery, 1715 2nd Ave., Rock Island.

Both Larry Jon Davis and Debora Stewart, respectively, feature rich color nuances and abstract organic themes, according to material from Quad-City Arts.

The two have a friendship that began in their hometown of Clinton. Davis is a retired art professor at Florida State College in Jacksonville and Stewart is a nationally acclaimed pastel artist.

A public reception for the artists will be from 7-9 p.m.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The exhibit is free.
