Vocal problems for the lead singer in the headlining band has forced a postponement of five stops in the Journey-Pat Benatar-Loverboy tour, including a Tuesday concert at the i wireless Center, Moline.

Journey lead singer Arnel Pineda has been diagnosed with severe laryngeal and esophageal inflammation and is under doctor’s orders not to perform for the next week, according to a news release from the arena. Tickets for the postponed concerts will be honored for the new concerts which will be rescheduled for early 2013.

Tour stops from Thursday through Wednesday are also delayed. Those were to be in Evansville and Fort Wayne, Ind.; Grand Rapids, Mich., and Sioux City.

Who cares about imitators?

The worlds greatest Journey tribute band is ....... Journey. You are better off to listen to old Journey than go to a concert. There is no new Journey music worth listening to, and paying to see this new lead singer imitate Steve Perry is a pathetic replacement for the real thing. Perry cannot be replaced.

I was looking forward to this...bummer
