The 21st annual Festival of Trees Holiday Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Davenport.

There will be 22 character balloons, including Yogi Bear, a Hometown Hero soldier, a Nutcracker ice cream cone, a lollipop and cupcake, a leather-helmeted football player, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Jolly Old St. Nick and Amelia Earhart.

Other attractions will include the Wells Fargo stagecoach (which is new to the parade this year), area high school marching bands and the Tom Getz Distinguished Clown Corps. The clown corps has been named in honor of Getz, who died in January. He and his late wife, Karen, were huge supporters and guiding forces of the festival for much of its first two decades
