Missing woman found

Local authorities have located a Galena, Illinois, woman, Amanda R. Duhack, unharmed. Duhack went missing July 21 and was last seen outside her rural home. However, according to a statement from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office, Duhack "has been located and is OK. Thanks everyone for their assistance."

Moline Democrat Rep. Cheri Bustos reportedly played a key role in reshaping a new party message promising better jobs and wages, a lower cost of living, training workers to meet new workforce demands and an overall sharpened message with focus on the economy. The third-term Democrat serves as co-chair of the House policy and communications committee.

Trenton Wallace now a two-time player of the year

Trenton Wallace is the captain of the Quad-City Times All-Metro baseball team for a second straight year. Wallace was 11-0 with a 0.29 ERA in 72 innings this summer. 

For the second consecutive season, Wallace has been named the Mississippi Athletic Conference's player of the year in baseball. The Iowa recruit is 9-0 on the mound in play for Assumption.

After being reduced to a single lane, westbound traffic at I-80 between Exit 298 and Exit 301 has been reopened.
