A retirement open house for Ken Croken, Chief Marketing Officer of Genesis Health System and community leader, will be held Thursday, Dec. 14 from 3-6 p.m. at The Outing Club, 2109 Brady Street, Davenport.
Croken has been the corporate communications and marketing executive with Genesis since 2003. During that time, Croken has developed a creative and effective marketing program for Genesis Health System.
Among his accomplishments were a re-branding initiative, a successful transition to digital marketing and outreach and several award-winning advertising campaigns. He was instrumental in the startup of the annual Genesis Flu-Free Quad Cities initiative to provide free seasonal flu protection to thousands of elementary school children in the region each year and has initiated many other efforts to raise resources for other Genesis mission-based projects.
Croken also has served as a tireless, prominent representative of Genesis in the region.
Croken has represented Genesis in a number of organizations, including the Quad-City Symphony Orchestra, Figge Art Museum, Putnam Museum, Gilda’s Club, Humility of Mary Housing, the Quad City Chamber of Commerce, Davenport Library, Quad Cities Health Initiative, Quad Citians Affirming Diversity and Davenport Sister Cities, among others.
Croken was also a leader in the formation of the Scott County Mental Health Court Pilot Project.
Croken has represented Genesis on government issues important to regional health care providers as a lobbyist in Des Moines, Springfield, Ill., and Washington, D.C.
