Lindsay Lovaas and Michael Millea were united in marriage on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:30 PM, in a beautiful ceremony at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Katy Warren of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and Bishop Martin Amos, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Davenport. Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the Ballroom of the Radisson Hotel.
Parents of the bride are Judy and Jeff Lovaas and Beth and Tim Millea, all of Davenport. The bride was attended by her sister, Kelsey Askam, as matron of honor. Lindsay was also attended by Danielle Lovaas, sister of the bride, Ally Bryant and Meagan Bewley, cousins of the bride, and Korinne Fangmann, Krista Anderson, and Caitlin Marschall, friends of the bride. The flower girl was Ella Clare Millea, niece of the groom.
The groom’s best friend, Ethan Connors, was his best man. Michael was also attended by Andrew Christ, friend of the groom, Jonathan and Patrick Millea, brothers of the groom, Aaron Askam, brother-in-law of the bride, and Jesus Lucero, friend of the couple. The ring bearer was Xavier Millea, nephew of the groom. Ushers were Tom Holliday, cousin of the bride, Taylor Bryant, cousin-in-law of the bride, Kraig Ewert, friend of the bride, and Jeremiah Watson, friend of the groom.
The couple took a delayed honeymoon trip to Daytona Beach, Florida in October 2016. The unexpected arrival of Hurricane Matthew a few days later caused them to evacuate, so they spent the rest of their honeymoon week in Nashville, Tennessee before returning home.
Lindsay and Michael live in Davenport. Lindsay works at Bethany for Children and Families in Moline and Michael is finishing his law degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
