Raffle winners from St. Anthony's Church event
Leslie DeLaere, of Davenport, won a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport in a raffle at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport, that was held to support the church's food ministry, McAnthony's Window.
Other winners were Tim Lofgren, of Bettendorf, a television; Terry Middleton, of Davenport, tires; Tom Luton, of Bettendorf, an iPad; and Sandra Sievert, of Davenport, car washes.
Attacking Trafficking prayer service Sunday
Attacking Trafficking, a local faith based group dedicated to ending human trafficking, will hold a prayer service to end human trafficking at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 3510 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport.
January is Human Trafficking Awareness month. The prayer service will feature remarks from Nora Dvorak, a charter member of the group and long-time social justice activist from Davenport.
Attacking Trafficking will also give a brief overview of the Iowa Legislative Service Agency’s 2018 report regarding the crime of human trafficking and its presence within the state.

Vespers service this weekend at Gloria Dei
A Celtic music session and Vespers will be Sunday at Gloria Dei Presbyterian Church, 4200 12th St., Rock Island. Music is at 4:30 p.m. and the service begins at 5 p.m.

Women's Day program at Higher Heights church
Guest speaker Sister Bernice Richardson will be featured at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the annual Women's Day program at Higher Heights Missionary Baptist Church. It will be at Community of Christ Church, 4221 N. Brady St., Davenport. She will speak on the theme, "Women Working in God's Kingdom."

Annual pancake supper set for Trinity Episcopal
The annual pancake supper, with music by the Manny Lopez Jazz ensemble, will be 5-7 p.m. on Shrove Tuesday, Feb. 13, in the Great Hall at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 12th and Brady streets, Davenport.

Stations of the Cross at Grace Lutheran Church
The Rev. Robert "Bud" Grant, of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, will be the featured speaker at the "Stations of the Cross: A Meditation on Suffering, a Message of Hope," a free public seminar from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Using great works of Christian art and music, along with today’s news headlines, to heighten the experience of the passion, Grant will use history and theology to interpret the meaning of the last hours in the life of Jesus Christ, and will offer guidance on how to “lean on one another for help to embrace the Way of the Cross,” he said.
