Tibetan healing practices to be shared in Moline

An internationally-known holistic healing practitioner and speaker, Mark Peebler, or "Dr. Dream," brings his program to Unity Church of the Quad-Cities on Sunday, Aug. 13. The church is located at 5102 47th Ave., Moline.

The 33 Tibetan Healing Bowl Experience will support two villages in Nepal, Gilung and Sindupalachoka, devastated by a series of earthquakes.

Gilung, located near the epicenter of the earthquates, turns out beautiful Tibetan bowls shared with healers around the world. The earthquake destroyed all 100 homes in Gilung.

Creative table-top designs presented in East Moline

A fundraiser for women's ministries at Christ United Methodist Church, 3801 Seventh St., East Moline, is set for Saturday, Aug. 26. The Seasons of Fun Luncheon begins with table viewing at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon.

Motown music moves St. John's in Davenport

The spirit of Motown music will infuse the congregation at St. John's United Methodist Church, 14th and Brady streets, Davenport. The Celebration Band concert will be 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20.
