First Presbyterian will help German refugees in 2018

First Presbyterian Church, 1702 Iowa St., Davenport, will host a rummage sale in August to benefit the outreach efforts of its nationally renowned music program.

This will aid the adult Sanctuary Choir’s trip in the summer of 2018 to work with refugees in Germany.

The sale is in the fellowship hall on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 4-5, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church invites residents to take part in the sale and to consider donating items to the sale.

This includes: Furniture, kitchenware, art, antiques, books, instruments, costume and fine jewelry, collectibles, linens, and tools. Clean designer clothing will also be accepted, but items not considered outerwear should be packaged in their original packaging.

Contributions may be dropped off at the church on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon through the end of July. To schedule a different time, or for a bulk or oversize drop-off, contact Matt Bishop, music director, 563-326-1691, or bishop@fpcdavenport.org.
