Stearns has created the Amara Water Sports Gloves to improve grip during watersports activities.

The product allows users to hang on to a rope with heavy-duty amara palms and fingers.

The gloves are made from neoprene and nylon spandex, and have adjustable wrist and back-of-the-hand straps for stability. Amara Water Sports Gloves cost $22.99 per pair.

Guiding light

The GoLight by Stryker is available to help boaters see at night. The unit can be mounted on the bow and connected to a power source, then controlled from the helm.

The GoLight features a wireless remote control that eliminates the installation challenge of traditional search lights.

Wheel addition

Edson International, New Bedford, Mass., offers the Edson Powerknob.

The knob is easily strapped or bolted to nearly any wheel, the company says. It is designed to upgrade the feel and function of a boat.

Its marine-grade construction and smooth ball bearings assist in boat control for single- or twin-engine vessels.
