Given how large a segment of the Quad-City population that people older than 60 years comprise, matters involving senior citizens are of paramount importance in this community.

With that in mind, the Quad-City Times is working on a series of stories to explain the most pressing issues facing our older residents as well as those who love and care for them, especially their children, the so-called Sandwich Generation of adults who have their own children to be concerned about.

We are looking for individuals and families willing to help us tell their story in terms of: planning for the day Mom or Dad has to leave their home, the cost of retirement, transportation gaps, caregiver burnout and the availability of services that can help.

If you are willing to be interviewed for one or more of these stories, please contact Times Features Editor Craig Brown by email at cbrown@qctimes.com, by telephone at (563) 383-2345, or through the Times Facebook page or Twitter account.
