Classes teach photo, crochet, stained glass

Black Hawk College is offering the following community education classes as well as a bus trip to Chicago:

• Lightroom for the digital photographer, 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14. The cost is $39.

• Crocheting, scarf project, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Nov. 14-21. The cost is $28.

• Stained glass, advanced, copper foil and lead techniques, 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 14 to Dec. 12. The cost is $65.

• Chicago food bus trip, gourmet shopping for the holidays, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16. The cost is $90. Please register by Thursday, Nov. 9.

Antique Spectacular ends today

The Antique Spectacular Vintage Market will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the QCCA Expo Center, 2621 25th Ave., Rock Island. Admission is $7.

Merchandise includes furniture, art pottery, country, stoneware, books, prints, primitives, jewelry, silver, antique glassware, American Indian items, china, postcards, coins, quilts, dolls, toys, advertising, marbles, rugs, vintage textiles and period pieces.

 Great Depression talk is Nov. 14

You can learn about the impact the Great Depression had on the area’s culture, people and events at the Tuesday, Nov. 14, Lifelong Learner Lunch sponsored by Black Hawk College.

The event will be at The Abbey Station, Rock Island. Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m., followed by the program. The cost is $23. The registration deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 7.
