You can take a bus to shop in Chicago
The Extension and 4-H Education foundations in Rock Island and Henry counties are each sponsoring a bus trip for shopping in Chicago on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Buses will depart from East Moline and Annawan, Ill.
The itinerary includes an 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. stop at the Renegade Holiday Craft Fair inside Chicago's Bridgeport Center. It features over 100 craft vendors selling one-of-a-kind items. At 1 p.m. the buses will depart for a short ride to Michigan Avenue for shopping at such downtown stores as Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks 5th Avenue and more. Dining and shopping are on your own. The bus will depart at 5 p.m. for a nonstop return trip.
The cost is $45 per person.

Muscatine Art Center hosts holiday happenings
The Muscatine Art Center, 1314 Mulberry Ave., is hosting a gingerbread house workshop, a Sunday with Santa event and a kids' pajama party.
- Gingerbread: Beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, you can build and decorate a gingerbread house. The cost is $25, including all supplies. The registration deadline is Dec. 4.
- Santa: From 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, children and their families can make a free craft project and have their photo taken with Santa.
- Pajamas: From 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, children dressed in pajamas can hear winter stories, listen to historic music boxes and create a project. Stories begin at 6:15 and 6:45 p.m. The cost is $4 per child or $10 for three children.
