DURANT, Iowa -- June Loretta Noll Willroth, 94, of Durant, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Wilton Retirement Community.
June was born in Nichols, Iowa, on November 9, 1923, to Andrew and Margaret (McElroy) Noll.
June graduated from Atalissa High School in 1942 and attended the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught in rural schools in Muscatine County for 6 years.
June married Alfred W. Willroth on January 25, 1949 in West Liberty. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1993.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wilton. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, fishing and camping. June taught her family many life lessons, most importantly that ice cream and cookies are good for you. Above all, she enjoyed and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8th from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wilton.
Interment will be in the Durant Cemetery.
June is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters: Debbie (Ron) Bermel of Muscatine, Pam (Kevin) Jepson, Vickie (Jim) Collier and Shelly (Mike) Franzen, all of Durant, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a great granddaughter Brandi Bermel, brothers: Ed, Ted, Virgil and Harold Noll.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church Building fund in her memory.
