Clam shells 1913

This picture was commissioned by Sumner G. Shafnit, the office manager of the Hawkeye Pearl Button Co. Large piles of clam shells can be seen under a roof-like covering. Roof rafters and support post rise above the shells. An open doorway on the left has light pouring through. From the Grossheim Collection, Musser Public Library.
