A good T.G.I.F. to all. Don't get upset if you feel as though you're waking up in a fog — foggy conditions exist all around the Quad-City region.

The National Weather Service is calling for fog before 9 a.m. with areas north of Interstate 80 experiencing dense fog for until mid-morning. This dense fog will create hazardous driving conditions and has caused the weather service to issue a dense fog advisory for the region.

Otherwise the day will be sunny with a high near 84 degrees and a low around 62 degrees.

Saturday will bring a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 85 degrees and a low around 69 degrees.

On Sunday things will get a little warmer  with a high near 90 and a low around 71 degrees. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Unseasonably hot weather is expected to develop over the area come Monday with temps in the 90s and heat indexes topping 100.

So enjoy the outdoors before it gets too hot.
