An Aledo woman has been indicted in a felony theft case involving the Mercer County Athletic Booster Club.

Chastity M. Jackson, 39, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday night after being indicted by a Mercer County grand jury earlier in the day, according to a news release from the Aledo Police Department.

Jackson is facing class 2 and class 3 felony counts of theft.

Jackson is accused of gaining unauthorized control of between $500 and $10,000 for her own personal use and also using the funds for personal purposes such as purchasing food, tobacco, alcohol and a television.

Jackson is free on $50,000 bond. No court date has been scheduled at this time.

She is no longer associated with the booster club.

The investigation spans from July of 2012 to May of 2013.
