No flights are being canceled or postponed so far today at the Quad-City International Airport in Moline because of the winter snowstorm hitting the Northeast.

Airport officials said there are no direct flights from Moline to the Northeast, so no postponements have been needed. However, individuals whose final destination is that part of the country should contact their airline to determine the latest information.

In some cases, they said travelers could choose to not take their connecting flight from here to the connecting hub, such as Chicago, where flights to the Northeast may be postponed because of the weather.

Officials said when the storm was traveling through the Chicago area Thursday, some flights to Chicago and back to Moline were canceled that day because of poor weather in Chicago.
