Blues Traveler and the Gin Blossoms are among the acts announced Thursday for the seventh annual River Roots Live Festival, scheduled to take place Aug. 19-20 in Davenport’s LeClaire Park.

Blues Traveler, which has sold more than 10 million albums, is best known for the single “Runaround.” The Gin Blossoms’ hits include “Hey Jealousy” and “Found Out About You.”

Among the other acts announced for the festival are Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Nikka Costa, Cory Chisel & the Wondering Sons, Trampled Under Foot, The Giving Tree Band, Chamberlin and the Kris Lager Band.

Regional and local acts will include Dan Hubbard and the Humidors and Kevin B.F. Burt & the Instigators. Six other bands will be announced over the next few weeks, according to the Davenport Downtown Partnership, a division of the Quad-Cities Chamber of Commerce.

The annual Ribfest also will be part of the festival, as will a Junior Jam music tent and a bike night.
