Augustana College will offer a new graphic design major in the fall. The major draws academic strengths of the college’s programs in art, communication, business administration and computer science with an added graphic design core. Specialized coursework will focus on print and Web-based applications. The major is designed to equip students with skills to meet an expected increase in demand for graphic designers.
U.S. Bureau of Labor projects a 10 percent jump in positions that require strategic design skills —collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, as well as business skills — by 2016. Learn more at www.augustana.edu/
