The Quad-City Audubon Society will host a membership meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Butterworth Center, 1105 8th St., Moline. Linda Boardsen and Walt Zuurdeeg will discuss the Mississippi Flyway Action Network, a conference they attended in March hosted by the National Audubon Society. Two brief films, “Restoring American’s Delta” and “A Family of Stewards,” the ongoing response to the Gulf Oil spill, will be shown free to the public.

On Oct. 13, a field trip will be offered to visit local parks with birds in their names — Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf and Pigeon Creek Park in Pleasant Valley, as well as Lock & Dam 14. Meet at 7:30 a.m. at the parking lot south of Faye’s Field, south of Bettendorf Public Library. The free trip will return around noon.
