Top of the morning to all in the Quad-Cities. You’re waking up to 7 degrees and fair skies. Factor in the wind chill and we’re talking about -5 degrees — with snow on the ground.

That’s quite a change from last week when spring-like temps danced in the 50s with summer-like thunderstorms. Even the grass appeared to be taking on a shade of green unheard of in January.

But it’s back to reality as we return to work/school.

Mother Nature will serve up sunny skies to tempt you outside today, then blast you with below freezing temps and wind chill values as low as zero. The high for the day will only rise to the lower 20s.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 11 degrees.

Thanks, Mom Nature. We appreciate your attention.
