The Bettendorf Public Library is seeking entries for its Poetry in Motion contest. The deadline is March 25 for middle through high school and adult categories. Contributors must live within 50 miles of the Quad-Cities. Poems must be 16 lines or less on the theme of “motion.” The judge will be Elise Paschen, co-founder of the Poetry in Motion program that originated in New York City in 1992. Prizes are $50 for first-place winners, who will read their poems April 18 during a National Poetry Month event.
