Bettendorf Public Library co-sponsors local authors’ events

Bettendorf Public Library and the Midwest Writing Center will co-sponsor a series of free events that highlight local authors beginning in February.

Read Local will feature author and reporter Jonathan Turner at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at the library, 2950 Learning Campus Drive, Bettendorf.

Turner will read from his book, “A Brief History of Bucktown: Davenport’s Infamous District Transformed,” followed by a question-and-answer session.

Read Local events will be held bi-monthly the second Wednesday at the Bettendorf Public Library and are open to the public.
