A junior master gardener program will be offered by the Quad-City Botanical Center, Rock Island, for students in fifth grade to middle school.

An information meeting about the new junior master gardener club will be 5-6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, for students who are interested in the environment, plants, gardening and science. Fun, interactive projects will be planned, with snacks and beverages provided.

The center’s spring break escape camp will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 21 and March 28 for fifth-grade to middle school students. Cost is $20 for students to explore the climate, resources and everyday life in the rainforest. Space is limited to 25 for each session.
